Abel hadn't shown the slightest hesitation or discomfort with the plot he was suggesting, and the girl's ruthless and pragmatic nature wasn't something he'd taught her, but something he most certainly encouraged and honed. "I have every confidence that you'll be able to win over Maria's trust quickly and easily. Especially once we find something appropriate for you to keep slipping into her drinks. Just enough for you to get close, but not enough for Mr. Stromberg to have any cause to remove her from the school."
At Abel's suggestions, he nodded. "She seems pretty enough that would be my first thought. Then again, as my heir and daughter, you'd be more than entitled to a servant of your own, if you took a liking to her. I'll allow you to chose, once we've had our fun and her father has been properly broken."
