Homebodies [RP for mischieftwins]
Jul. 18th, 2018 03:36 pmTwo years, almost to the day.
No, Hanzo noted, glancing at his watch again-- exactly to the day. As his life had been for the last two years, between the work he did running the family's massive business holdings and going (less and less frequently now) on missions for Overwatch, it had been much to easy to lose track of the time and date and forget. Two years since his wife was taken from him and from their then-thirteen year-old daughters, Kasumi and Ayame. Logistically, the transition hadn't been so bad. The girls had always been bright and fairly independent, and Hanzo's doting and sometimes indulgent nature with his daughters had ensured they wanted for almost nothing. The girls took on extra chores and responsibilities, and somehow they managed to fill in the gaps.
Of course, there were certain things Hanzo missed dearly that the twins would never be able to provide, and he'd found little interest in dating or even simply finding or paying a woman to satisfy his still very present needs. It's a thought he pushed away as he stepped through the door of their spacious home, setting his briefcase just inside the foyer.
"Ayame? Kasumi? Girls, I'm home."
Hanzo slipped off his shoes and strode towards the living room. There was work to do, but he decided to avoid his study for as long as he could and instead dropped himself into the massive leather easy chair that was positioned directly opposite their grand entertainment center. He was just reaching for the remote control, intent on watching something mindless for an hour before getting back to the grind, when he heard whispering and giggling from the kitchen.
"Girls, since you're in the kitchen, would one of you mind pouring Daddy a drink?"
